Promotion Assistant- Get Active Wandsworth Festival

  • ENSC3, £9.78 per hour
  • Part-time

We are looking for individuals with a passion for promotion and speaking to the public. The role will involve attending school summer fairs, train stations, school sports days and other events and festivals to promote the free Get Active Wandsworth Festival 2017 to the local public.

As well as speaking to the public about the event, you will hand out promotional items and leaflets and will need to feel comfortable wearing a mascot outfit to aid promotion. At some events you will be required to run fun taster sessions. The role is predominantly at weekends so you will need to be available during these times, and you will be required to attend several events in the same day.

The Get Active Wandsworth Festival is Wandsworth’s Olympic legacy event and takes place on Saturday July 15th 2017 and aims to get everybody more active. It is a fun, free, family orientated event and is now in its 8th year.

Bereavement Service

Crematorium Technician

  • ENSc4 £21,422.00 a year
  • 40 hours per week
  • Based at North East Surrey Crematorium, Morden

We’re looking for a highly motivated person to work at North East Surrey Crematorium. Reporting to the Crematorium Manager you will be responsible for a range of crematorium and burial duties to ensure the delivery of a high quality and sensitive service of Enable’s statutory responsibilities to Funeral Directors and the bereaved.

You must either hold a cremator technicians qualification or be prepared to study for the qualification. Normal working hours will be 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. The job requires a flexible approach as you will be based at North East Surrey Crematorium but on occasion be required to work at Putney Vale Crematorium. You are also required to work additional hours to cover late and weekend cremations and duties which will be paid in addition to the standard hours of work.

Sports Assistant

Enable Leisure and Culture is a new organisation, created out of the local authority sector as a Public Service Mutual, and have recently received charitable status. We provide a wide range of services across a leisure and cultural portfolio contracted out by Wandsworth Council.

Tooting Bec Athletics Track is located on Tooting Bec Common and comprises of an 8-lane athletics track, gym, exercise studio and infield. In close proximity to this is sister site Furzedown Recreation Centre consisting of outdoor sports pitches.

We are looking for an individual who has a passion for sport and increasing community sport participation, is operationally astute and can work independently making decisions to the appropriate level.

You must work well as part of a small but dedicated team and be a self-starter, able to work under your own initiative. We are looking for applicants with an awareness and commitment to customer care, therefore previous experience working in a customer service environment is essential. Previous experience of working at a sports facility would be beneficial. Parks

We’re looking for two people to join our parks team – one community engagement office and one fundraising officer.

Community engagement officer:

  • ENPO1 £33,663 pro-rata
  • 20 hours a week (40 hours FTE)
  • Based at Battersea Park

You will be a key member of the Parks Development Team working to understand what our visitors, the local community and Friends groups want to see enhanced and improved. You will work to ensure we remain responsive to the increasing demands of all our users and to raise awareness of our diverse work across all our parks, commons and greenspaces.  We are looking for a team player who has strong self-motivation and the ability to work on personal initiative as well as in constructive collaboration with colleagues. You will have a passion for making lasting improvements to a wide range of greenspaces from national flagship sites to pocket parks.

You will be expected to travel around Wandsworth to visit sites and meet stakeholders on a regular basis.
