The London Youth Games is Europe’s largest youth sports competition. Now in it’s 40th year, there is a season of events taking place over nine months across 30 different sports.

History and background
In the 2016 London Youth Games, Wandsworth were crowned Inner London Champions, and finished an agonising 2nd place in the Jubilee trophy. Over the last 6 years Wandsworth have been on the podium every year, winning the overall Jubilee trophy on 3 occasions.
The Games are a unique opportunity to represent your borough against the other 32 London boroughs across a wide range of sports from archery to weightlifting, and including several Paralympic sports for young people with a disability.
For participants to be eligible they need to live or go to school in Wandsworth.

The cross country kicks off the 2017 season of the London Youth Games on Saturday 19th November at Parliament Hill. Wandsworth are looking for a strong start following last years 1st and 2nd place finishes in the boys and girls competitions respectively.
