Thursday 15 December, 5.45pm – Rose Community Centre, Ascalon Road Battersea
Admission: Free, all welcome
Children from Patmore, Carey Gardens and Savona around Nine Elms have been learning new skills in beatboxing, breakdancing and textile design to animate the hoodie as a ‘force of good in the world’
The project, which is funded by Wandsworth Council, Enable Leisure & Culture and Battersea Power Station, is a new outdoor beatbox project by London-based big puppet theatre company Puppets with Guts. The Superhoodies project has been running after school workshops on Wednesdays throughout the term, specifically for young people aged 8-13 in the Patmore, Savona and Carey Gardens area of Wandsworth.
Please join us to celebrate the young people’s achievements and for a showcase of their new skills during a performance on Thursday 15 December at 5.45pm at the Rose Community Centre, Ascalon Road Battersea.
