Reporting to the Senior Events Production Manager, the Events Production Manager will be responsible for the research, development, design, production and delivery of allocated events including Summer in Battersea Park, Silver Sunday, Armed Forces Day and Remembrance Day. The Events Production Manager will also be responsible for working with the Senior Events Production Manager to deliver Battersea Park Fireworks and any other events produced by the Events Team as a whole. 

The role will focus on developing and delivering the current Summer in Battersea Park series and expanding it into other parks. Summer in Battersea Park is a summer family-friendly festival with different events each weekend including live music, food, children’s activities, sports and cinema screenings, and so much more.

The role is for 40 hours a week and is based in the Events Office within Battersea Park.  Alternative measures including some working from home may be required in the short/medium term due to Covid-19.

Responsible for: 


Event Production 

  • The research, development, design, production and delivery of allocated events including Summer in Battersea Park, Remembrance Day, Armed Forces Day, Silver Sunday and any other events as required by the Events Team 
  • Working with the Senior Events Production Manager to deliver Battersea Park Fireworks and any other events delivered by the Events Team 
  • Budget planning, new supplier sourcingcontract negotiations and identifying new revenue / sponsorship opportunities  
  • Producing all relevant production paperwork including but not limited to site plans, event management plans, safety and emergency plans 
  • Booking and managing casual staff assisting with events and ensures that they are fully briefed 
  • Liaising with statutory / Council services and contractors for the delivery of event productions, including but not limited to the following: Environmental Services, Building Control, Highways & Parking, Waste Management, Emergency ServicesPublic transport operators, Security & First Aid contractors, Grounds Maintenance contractors, and Service and equipment suppliers 
  • Acting as the appointed site manager and assisting with the physical set up and dismantling of events, including the management of contractors and suppliers and the distribution and return of events equipment / stores and vehicles as required 
  • As required, acting as a personal licence holder at events under the Battersea Park premises licence 
  • Arranging / attending all event production and planning meetings and Safety Advisory Group meetings 

Admin and Finance 

  • Line management of junior team members as team grows 
  • Seeking quotes for goods and services in line with Enable’s Procurement Code, and raising purchase orders as required 
  • Achieving targeted income set by the Head of Events and Senior Production Events Manager 
  • Keeping the budget up-to-date with all recorded income and expenses 
  • Monthly reconciliation of the Detailed Transaction Report 
  • Ensuring all timesheets for casual staff are accurate and processed on time 
  • Updating the Events diary with venue bookings  
  • Ensuring the Marketing Team is fully briefed in sufficient time to develop and create the event production marketing plans and relevant production of marketing content and materials 
  • Dealing with relevant queries and complaints raised by clients, members of the public and production suppliers or contractors. Updating the complaints and compliments log, and when necessary, escalating complaints to the Senior Events Production Manager or Head of Events 
  • Liaising closely with the Events Team and other Enable services to ensure that the wider events / activity programme is coordinated properly 
  • Carrying out other duties as directed by the Senior Events Production Manager or Head of Events 
  • Proven and demonstrable experience of producing and delivering medium to large commercially successful public outdoor events  
  • Confidence in producing all relevant production paperwork including, but not limited to, site plans, event management plans, safety and emergency plans 
  • Experience of booking artists/ performers and sourcing event infrastructure  
  • Budgeting experience and a keen understanding of creating commercially successful events 
  • Passion for creating events to entertain a wide-ranging audience and diverse community 
  • Exceptionally high standards of customer service, attention to detail and organisational skills 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in writing, by telephone or face to face with senior management, other staff, clients and members of the public 
  • Patience and ability to negotiate professionally with suppliers 
  • Ability to enforce measures to meet health & safety legislation or prescribed terms and conditions 
  • Hands on/ proactive onsite and pride yourself on going the extra mile to create the best event possible 
  • A team player but also be able to manage your workload independently 
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines effectively 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and have had experience with Xero or other accounting software  
  • Hold a full UK driving licence 
  • Personal Licence (preferable but not essential) 
  • IOSH trained (preferable but not essential) 
  • CAD trained (preferable but not essential)
