Marketing Manager – Outdoor Events & Venues

This role has been developed to support our expanding portfolio of events; including Battersea Fireworks and Summer in Battersea Park. In addition, we will be launching a series of Christmas events to take place in our community halls. Our Fireworks night is well-established with local residents and we are looking to expand this from one night to two with programming for specific demographics. Can you help us make this a success?

This is an exciting time to be joining our organisation. We are building a new Marcomms team and are looking for a team player who has strong self-motivation to help shape Enable’s future.  To achieve this, we are looking for someone to develop and implement a marketing strategy for a portfolio of large-scale outdoor events and lead on our venue hire positioning. Flexible working and working from home days can be arranged with the successful candidate.

The role is full time and based primarily in the Parks Office in Battersea Park. The first round of interviews will be held virtually, and second round interviews will take place in the Parks Office, SW11 4NJ. Flexible working patterns can be discussed with the successful candidate.

  • Create and deliver marketing plan and material for key outdoor events such as our Summer Festival & Battersea Park Fireworks
  • Be responsible for creating marketing plans / material and develop brand positioning for launch events including Christmas family theatre
  • Oversee creation and distribution of marketing collateral for all Enable venues; create a marketing plan and strategy for venue hire marketing. We have a small, but diverse portfolio of venues which require bespoke marketing strategies – including the Pump House Gallery primarily used for weddings alongside community halls
  • Work in partnership with other colleagues to develop marketing plans for key community events, such as Black History Month, Get Active Festival, End of term Art Exhibitions, Putney Vale Cemetery Community days
  • Work with the Heads of Service and Senior Marketing Manager to advise on event marketing spend and maintain budget
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of event audiences and understanding consumer requirements and share it across the organisation to drive creative work & collaboration

 

You must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Relevant experience in marketing management, strategy and annual action plans within professional services, preferable in the event industry
  • Evidence of marketing commercial service development aligned to performance and financial targets. Including developing of implementing, new and successful marketing and sales campaigns
  • Adept marketing knowledge with the ability to create and deliver effective digital and traditional campaigns
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, including how to optimise them for the benefit of an organisation’s public profile and the creation of inspiring and engaging content

 

Desirable:

  •  Experience with large, publicly-ticketed outdoor events
  • On-site event knowledge; ability to create site plans and deliver a wayfinding strategy to increase footfall
  • Experience of working with CRM and email platforms
  • Successful track record in boosting awareness of venues to targeted audiences
  • Good knowledge and hands on experience of Paid Social and Paid search advertising tools
  • Knowledge and understanding of GDPR
  • A love of data and analytics!
