Bravery award for Parks Police
Officers from Wandsworth council’s Parks Police have received a bravery commendation from the Mayor of Wandsworth, Cllr Richard Field.

The mayor has presented four officers with an Award for Exemplary Performance after they were involved in the arrest of a man for possession of a controlled drug and possession of an offensive weapon following an incident in Battersea Park. The case has now been handed over to the Met Police.
The mayor praised the prompt action of Constable Jason Crawford, assisted by Constables Bernard Shirley, Althea Mason-Josephs and Sunnee Arhagba.
He said: “These officers provide an excellent example of the commitment and dedication expected of police officers executing their duties.”
Constable Jason Crawford said “I’m very proud to receive their award. It’s nice to be recognised for your efforts.”
Inspector Stephen Biggs from the service said, “The professionalism of the officers is to be commended.”
