A massive thank you to everyone that came to Afternoon Tea at the Bandstand on Sunday 2 June in Battersea Park. Take a look at the gallery below for the amazing photos from the amazing Max Turner.
Move over Earl Grey, Lady Grey is the new tea in town.
Battersea Park’s glorious Victorian Bandstand will be transformed into Mrs Jones’ Afternoon Tea parlour.
Enjoy your favourite British finger sandwiches, scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam while immersed within one of London’s most iconic and historic parks. Surrounded by luscious green trees, you will feel a world away from central London as you tuck into your afternoon tea.
Along with traditional English breakfast tea, there will be a variety of teas to choose from. The set menu includes the classic finger sandwiches, choose from two of the following scrumptious flavours; cucumber and mint, coronation chicken, honey roasted Wiltshire ham and mustard, plus mature vintage cheddar with red onion chutney. Delish!
Afternoon tea would not be complete without the British staple – the classic scone. Mounted with a dollop of clotted cream and spread with sweet, sticky strawberry jam, we leave it to you to decide if it should be jam or cream should come first…
Finish your dining experience with tempting summer berry and chocolate macarons.
