Love Parks Walks
For a chance to learn more about Wandsworth’s greenspaces, come and join us for one of our guided walks over the summer! Listed below are a number of guided walks which aim to introduce people to the diverse history and biodiversity of Wandsworth’s parks as well as share some of the exciting projects that have been taking place in and are planned for these greenspaces.
Also check out the walks on offer through Walk Wandsworth at https://enablelc.org/walkwandsworth. Walk Wandsworth is an accredited walking scheme through Walking for Health that offers a series of free walks around the borough led by trained walk leaders.
Heathbrook Park and Montefiore Gardens Guided Walk
Time: 2pm to 4pm
Meeting location: Heathbrook Park, St Rule Street, SW8 3EH (entrance next to playground)
Guided walk from Latchmere Recreation Ground to Christchurch Gardens
Time: 2pm to 4pm
Meeting location: Latchmere Recreation Ground, Burns Road, Battersea, London, SW11 5AD (entrance opposite Joubert Street)
Guided walk from Huguenot Burial Ground to Coronation Gardens
Time: 2pm to 4pm
Meeting location: Huguenot Burial Ground, East Hill, London SW18 2QU (On the walkway down the side of Oratory of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church)
Guided walk from Swaby Gardens to Garratt Park
Time: 2pm to 4pm
Meeting location: Swaby Gardens, Swaby Road, London, SW18 3PU (entrance on Swaby Road)
Tooting Common Summer Tree Walk
Time: 11am to 12.30pm
Meeting location: Tooting Bec Common Cafe, Tooting Bec Common, London, SW12 9HJ
Wandsworth Common Summer Biodiversity Walk
Time: 2pm to 3pm
Meeting location: Skylark Café, Dorlcote Road, London, SW18 3RT
Meet outside Skylark Cafe on Wandsworth Common for a 2pm start. The walk will be roughly 1 hour long. Please wear footwear and clothing suitable for walking outdoors.

Tooting Common Acid Grassland Restoration and Lake Walk
Time: 2pm to 3pm
Meeting location: Tooting Bec Common Cafe, Tooting Bec Common, London, SW12 9HJ
Description: Come and learn about the nationally scarce and ecologically important acid grassland habitat on Wandsworth Council’s Tooting Common and the recent improvements made to the lake as part of the Tooting Common Heritage Project. The walk will be led by Valerie Selby, Parks Development & Biodiversity Manager at Enable Leisure and Culture.
Meet at the Tooting Bec Common Cafe for a 2pm start. The walk will be roughly 1 hour long. Please wear footwear and clothing suitable for walking outdoors.

Wandsworth Park Summer Biodiversity Walk

Description: Come and join us for a walk in Wandsworth Council’s Wandsworth Park to learn about the importance of this site in supporting a variety of plants and animals and how the park is managed to encourage greater biodiversity. The walk will be led by Valerie Selby, Parks Development & Biodiversity Manager at Enable Leisure and Culture.

King George’s Park Management and Maintenance Plan Walk

Meet by the Bodmin Street entrance to the park (at the south end of King George’s Park) for a 11am start. The walk will be roughly 1 mile long. Please wear footwear and clothing suitable for walking outdoors.
