Parks

Do you have fond memories of one of the parks or commons in the Borough of Wandsworth? If so, sponsoring a bench will be a lasting and memorable contribution to these much-loved and well used spaces. In our smaller parks we offer Evergreen benches with an engraved plaque, and on the commons, we offer a forest-saver seat with an engraved back board. Please note that due to high demands, there is a waiting list for sponsoring a memorial bench, but if you make an enquiry we will add you to the waiting list and be in touch when we are in a position to progress your request.

Unfortunately, we are no longer accepting any new requests for benches in Battersea Park as the current waiting list is so extensive. We apologise for any disappointment this may cause. We would be happy to discuss a bench on another site with you.

Repairs Policy

If damaged, the bench will be repaired wherever possible. For the first three years, if the bench is damaged beyond repair, it will be replaced at no charge to you. After three years, where the bench is damaged beyond repair, we can make no guarantee that the bench will be replaced.

Placement of the Benches

We reserve the exclusive right to display or not to display any bench within the park/common and its location. Once we have installed a bench in the park/common we do not intend to move it. However, if we need to move or remove the bench, we will tell you in advance.
