Playgrounds

There are over 35 public playgrounds across Wandsworth, offering a range of opportunities for play to a variety of age groups. Wandsworth’s playgrounds are a place where children can develop a range of skills and where parents and carers can meet and socialise.

Our playgrounds are accessible all year round and free of charge for everyone.

Dogs are not allowed in any playground.

King George’s Park Junior and Toddler Playground Improvement Works

Wandsworth Council are pleased to share with you the final design for the £167,243 King George’s Park Junior and Toddler Playground improvements, the council having invested over £1m in play spaces across Wandsworth over the last few years. Funds for this project have been allocated via the S106 scheme. The S106 scheme pays for new and improved community facilities using funding collected from private development projects in the surrounding area.

Works are scheduled to begin on the week commencing 1 November 2021 and are expected to last for about 7 weeks (weather depending). The playground will be closed for the duration of these works. We apologise for any inconvenience. Please see below regarding alternative local playgrounds to visit whilst the works are completed.
