Putney Vale Cemetery and Crematorium Memorial Service
Putney Vale memorial service 2022
This years service was postponed due the the sad passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II and will now be held on Sunday 2nd October at 2pm
Light refreshments will be available after the service where you will be invited to hang a memory ribbon in the Recordia room.
Unlike the past few services, due to the unavailability of the bands and some other contributors we are holding this service in one of the chapels. The service will be led by a local minister with support from a non-religious officiant and the Mayor of Wandsworth. This years Mayors charity ‘Wandsworth Bereavement Services’ will also be invited to take part.
We hope to return the service outside in 2023 as part of an open day. More information will be posted nearer the time.

The 2021 memorial service was held on Sunday 12th September.
Sadly the 2020 service was cancelled due to the pandemic however we were pleased to bring back this popular service for 2021.
The service started at 2pm and was held outside on the floral terrace next to the crematorium. The service was led by the Revd. Joshua Rey from Holy Trinity Church, Roehampton with the Mayor of Wandsworth, Cllr Richard Field and Civil Celebrant Grace Farrelly taking part. This years service supported Full Circle Fund Therapies who’s founder, Suzanne Ruggles spoke about the good work that they do. Click here for more information
The service was supported by the Putney and Wimbledon Brass Band who played before and after the service and provided the music for the hymns.
Following the service the congregation was invited to join us for refreshments and fill in memory ribbons (as pictured) which were hung in the recordia room. The memory ribbons will stay in place until the end of October.
